Hays closes door on business operations in Russia

Global recruiter Hays has announced that “with immediate effect” it has ceased all business operations in Russia.

Because of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Hays has taken the decision to close its offices in Moscow and St Petersburg, cease all business activity and exit the country, a company statement said.

Alistair Cox, Hays CEO, said: “This is not a decision we have taken lightly as a business. However, we cannot continue to maintain a presence in Russia, nor assist organisations there in any way, in light of the current situation.”
