Nine time higher UK recruiter jobs on LinkedIn compared to last year

Nine times more UK recruiter jobs have been posted on professional network LinkedIn in June this year, compared to the same period last year, the online network is reporting.

The high demand for recruiters this year also reflects twice the number needed than the 2019 average, LinkedIn announced today.

“Demand is also increasing across Europe,” the network said in a statement, “particularly in Italy and Spain where there are eight times more recruiter jobs being advertised compared to last year.”

Job security jumped 21% as a priority for recruiters when job hunting, followed by a purposeful company mission, which rose 19%, LinkedIn said.

When looking for a new job today, the statement said, recruiters globally “are more likely to care about job security and company mission. While work-life balance, compensation and company culture are still the most important factors for recruiters when considering a new job opportunity, LinkedIn has seen a shift in preferences over the past year”.

Commenting on the findings, Adam Hawkins, head of search and staffing EMEA at LinkedIn said: “With growing demand for recruiters in the market, there will be lots of opportunities for career growth, skills development and progression.”
