Adecco to bid for role in government job support service

Adecco Group UK and Ireland, through its new joint venture Adecco Working Ventures, is throwing its hat into the ring to bid for a role in the Department of Work and Pensions’ new £40m job support service.

The recruitment giant has joined forces with work-related training provider Corndel to create the new venture that aims to help 100,000 people a year move from unemployment into meaningful, lasting jobs, according to a statement released today.

Adecco Working Ventures will be bidding to secure a place as a Tier 1 supplier on the commercial agreement for the provision of employment and health-related services to the DWP, the statement said.

“Together, the joint venture brings global expertise in finding people jobs, national scale, a network of local offices, scalable technology, digital job search and a leading employment focused training offer,” the statement said. “Both organisations are committed to getting the UK back to work.”
