Travelodge recruits 4,000 housekeeping roles this year

Travelodge has announced plans to recruit 4,000 housekeeping roles throughout 2020.

In a statement released this morning, the budget hotel chain revealed that to celebrate National Bed Month (Ed: we have no idea, either), the budget hotel chain will fill the jobs, which are a combination of roles in forthcoming new Travelodge hotel openings, additional summer cover and to fill opportunities that become available in the company’s 573 UK hotels throughout the year.

Around 150 housekeeping positions need to be filled immediately.

The vast majority of roles are permanent with flexible working hours designed around the school run, and include housekeeping supervisor and housekeeping team member positions.

The new recruits will eligible to join the company’s in-house management programme called ‘Aspire’, which offers comprehensive training on hotel management. This can help new entry-level team members get into a management role at Travelodge within a year of joining the company, offering significant salary and development progression.
