Survey finds recruiters are feeling the pinch

Most recruitment professionals are struggling to make ends meet, according to a survey from job board CV-Library.

The survey findings, released this morning, reveal 62.5% were encountering financial difficulties but 75% were afraid to ask their employer for a pay rise.

The study, which surveyed 2,300 British professionals, also reveals that workers in the recruitment industry are less confident about asking for a pay rise than they were a year ago, where 64.3% said they’d be happy to request one.

Meanwhile, four in 10 recruitment professionals are more likely to apply for a new role, than ask for a pay rise, as 43.8% still feel confident about securing a higher paid role elsewhere.

Nearly two-thirds of recruitment workers run out of money before they get paid, according to the survey, with 62.5% failing to make it to payday.
