Veganism ruling not a law changer, but highlights treating candidates fairly

Last week’s ruling that veganism is a ‘philosophical belief’ does not change the law, but it does underline the importance of treating candidates with such views fairly in the recruitment process.
This is according to employment lawyers commenting on last Friday’s landmark tribunal ruling that veganism is a ‘philosophical belief’ akin to a religion that should be protected in law by the Equality Act 2010.
