Papa John’s appoints first chief vegan officer

Following on from our story about the rise of vegan roles in February’s Recruiter, pizza maker Papa John’s has recruited a chief vegan officer.

Clare Every, who has been appointed to help grow the pizza chain’s vegan offering in 2020, heads up social media channel ‘Little London Vegan’. She will spend the next six months working closely with the Papa John’s research & development team, including head of R&D Tom Allen, to take the brand’s plant-based offering to the next level.

The move coincides with Papa John’s latest vegan releases that include four new pizzas, as well as a butternut squash base.

The four new vegan pizzas include the Jackfruit Pepperoni, the American Hot Jackfruit, the Vegan Sausage and Pepperoni pizza, and the Vegan Works.
