Modulr creates Scottish hub for fintech roles

A business-to-business payment specialist is to create 50 new fintech roles in Edinburgh.

The Scotsman reports Modulr plans to create 53 tech jobs in the Scottish capital and has committed to hiring graduates from Scottish universities annually for the next five years. Modulr will also host payment education events in Glasgow and Edinburgh to teach SMEs how to capitalise on its payment functionality.

The development follows Modulr being awarded £10m from the BCR Capability and Innovation Fund (CIF), which is designed to drive innovation and boost competition in UK business payments. Modulr, which powers the likes of Sage and Revolut, will match that £10m investment.
