No wining for Scarlett as she shows everyone her winning ways

It seems as though the former SThree colleagues of recruitment’s representative in The Apprentice were on to something in backing her to win the BBC reality TV show.

The Apprentice returned to our screens last night for a new series. So how did our industry’s Scarlett Allen-Horton, a senior partner for global transport engineering leadership search at Harper Fox Partners, get on?

Well, for the first task this year’s candidates were sent 6,000 miles from home, to the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Voted the best city in the world to visit, the hopefuls were faced with the chance of capitalising on the booming tourism market as they set up their own safari and vineyard tours.

With no one on her team stepping forward instantly, Allen-Horton openly said that even though she had no experience in arranging travel tours, she was good with managing people. Not only did she act as project lead, she led the girls’ team to victory – with a vineyard tour – over the boys, who took punters on a safari ‘experience’.

So, it seems the confidence her colleagues at Huxley Engineering have in our Scarlett has not been misplaced so far.

You can still see Scarlett’s successful Apprentice debut on iPlayer here.
