CONTRACTS & DEALS: 19-23 AUGUST 2019

This week’s contracts and deals include: Ascensos, Bullhorn, Ceridian, Cordant People, Resume-Library

• Isle of Wight-based contact centre management specialist Ascensos has signed up to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Mentoring Circles, a programme designed to improve the job prospects of young people. Mentoring Circles wants to broaden the horizons of young people on the island and its goal is to improve their confidence, motivation and job search skills, as well as building their self-esteem and employability.

Ascensos will host regular sessions with the Job Centre at its contact centre in Cowes over a five-week period, supporting up to seven young adults from the Foyer for the Island, a supported living facility for young people in Ryde. The young adults will be advised on the job application process, CV writing, job interview techniques and provided with typical work-day scenarios.

Ascensos launched its Isle of Wight contact centre in 2017 and is currently expanding operations on the island.

• Global human capital management company Ceridian has announced that Costa Coffee has chosen Ceridian’s Dayforce system to manage the high-street coffee retailer's recruitment, HR and payroll processes, and to deliver pay to 18,000 employees both in its UK retail business and in its support centre, as part of a wider people management initiative.

Blackpool FC has chosen Cordant People, part of Cordant Group, as its official partner for the provision of all its permanent roles. Cordant People will provide all permanent operational, commercial and management staff to the football club.

• US careers site Resume-Library has announced a partnership with recruitment industry software platform Bullhorn. The collaboration of these two companies will enable Bullhorn’s users to post their vacancies on Resume-Library and gain instant access to millions of CVs, without having to leave the Bullhorn platform.
