Birmingham café seeks feline fan

Birmingham Live reports that Kitty Café, a restaurant in the city’s Grand Central shopping centre where customers share the dining area with cats, is recruiting for an animal care assistant with an animal management qualification at level 2 or above.

The job ad reads: “You will manage up to 30 animals at any one time. It will be your responsibility to check the animals, clean their pods and maintain a clean setting.

“You will work directly under an experienced manager and will be interacting with the public on a daily basis, educating about the animals, as well as ensuring that rules are followed and interaction between people and animals is fun and safe for all.”
