Ocado to create jobs in Sunderland at new office complex

Ocado is to create 300 customer service jobs at a new centre on the former Vaux Brewery site in Sunderland.

According to reports, the online retailer will be the first company to move into The Beam, a new office and leisure complex under construction in the city centre.

The 26-acre site has been empty since the closure of the brewery in 1999 and was bought by the local council in 2011.
