TREC 2019: Optimism and pragmatism needed from recruitment community

Calls to be optimistic and pragmatic in uncertain times were key messages from speakers at the day-long Talent, Recruitment & Employment Conference (TREC) 2019.

At the event on Tuesday (4 June) in London, REC CEO Neil Carberry (pictured) called for “a bit of optimism” from the recruitment community. He urged delegates in his opening address to take pride in the “high-skill, high-contributing profession we are” and deliver “brilliant recruitment” in the face of political and economic turmoil.
