FINANCIALS: ClearStar sees revenue rise

Revenue for the first five months of 2019 is up 14% year-on-year for US background-checking firm ClearStar.

The announcement comes in a statement released ahead of the group’s annual general meeting, set to be held today.

At the meeting, chairman of the board Barney Quinn will also announce the firm is on track to achieve strong growth for full year 2019, in line with market expectations, with growth still being driven by direct sales and revenue from its medical information services division.

Industry commentators have dismissed yesterday’s promise to introduce a statutory due diligence requirement later this year as “a big fat nothing burger”.
