Barman at Jamaica’s Pelican Bar seeks temp so he can take time off

Would you like to swap recruitment for mixing cocktails in the Caribbean?

Edinburgh Live reports Floyd Forbes, the owner of Pelican Bar in Jamaica, is seeking a temporary bartender to enable him to take a break for the first time in eight years.

Forbes’ bar, which is built on stilts in the ocean, just off the Jamaican resort of Negril, opened in 2001 and is only accessible by boat.

The successful recruit will be covering Floyd’s shifts for a week, and will get flights and accommodation paid for by Virgin Holidays, who is helping Forbes find his temporary cover.
