Get to grips with new minimum wage levels to avoid being named and shamed

Recruiters have been urged to avoid some of the more common mistakes in complying with new NMW rules, which could lead to them being named and shamed by government.

As of April 2019, new NMW increases have been introduced, which ensure payments of:

  • £4.35 per hour for workers aged under 18 who are no longer of compulsory school age
  • £6.15 per hour for workers aged between 18 and 21
  • £7.70 per hour for workers aged between 21 and 25
  • £8.21 per hour for workers aged over 25
