Executive search firm helps find new governor for Bank of England

The UK government has charged executive search firm Sapphire Partners to help find a new governor for the Bank of England.

The BBC reports Sapphire will help in the search for the successor of current governor Mark Carney, who steps down on 31 January 2020 after more than six years in post.

Interviews for the £480k-a-year role are due to be held over the summer ahead of an appointment made by the government in the autumn.
