Access Group acquires software supplier Volcanic

Software provider The Access Group has acquired recruitment and staffing website software supplier Volcanic for an undisclosed sum.

The move was revealed in statement released by Access Group this morning.

Volcanic, a provider of SaaS-based website and marketing technology platforms for the recruitment sector, currently supports more than 600 customers across three continents, while Access Group works with over 40% of the UK’s top 500 agencies and 75% of the top 20 agencies.

And commenting on the deal, Paul Vogel, managing director for Access’s Recruitment Division, said the addition of Volcanic to its solution suite would further strengthen its overall presence in the recruitment market.

“We look forward to deepening our relationship with Volcanic’s customers over coming months and years, while further supporting their business,” Vogel added.

Volcanic’s founder Rob Wilde, who won Recruitment Industry Entrepreneur of the Year at the Recruiter Awards in 2017, will be staying on following the acquisition along with his senior leadership team, while Volcanic's will name remain.

Elaborating on the reasons for the acquisition an Access Group spokesperson told Recruiter the synergies in the technology of both companies would be invaluable to its customer base, adding Volcanic is a natural extension to its current recruitment product suite. “Work has already begun to build deep integrations with Access’ existing CRMs, Access RDB and Access Profile and we look forward to continuing to working closely with Volcanic’s strategic partners,” the spokesperson added.
