Tech advisor calls on recruiters to focus on genuine innovation rather than ‘shiny tools’

An HR/recruitment technology advisor has urged recruiters to “beware the HR ‘lipstick on a pig’ technology trap in the market” when innovation is the aim.
Speaking at a recent CIPD conference for recruiters, Barry Flack urged his audience to explore potential innovation in an organisation’s systems and processes instead of relying on the “shiny tools” of technology solutions. “Organisation of work is where innovation happens,” he said.
