Shipwrecked finally returns to UK screens after a six-year hiatus this coming Monday and the good news is the recruitment industry has a competitor for us all to cheer on.

The show, which features British contestants stranded on remote tropical islands competing in teams against each other for a cash prize, first hit UK screens in 1999 and was shown on and off between then and 2012 when it was cancelled.

This Monday, it makes its return with a recruiter in its ranks. According to various reports and confirmed on his own Twitter page, that recruiter is Kush Khanna, a recruitment manager from international media organisation InterTalent Rights Group in London.

As well as working in recruitment, the Manchester Evening News reports when he was 17 years old, Khanna was signed, along with his band, by Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and the girl group’s manager Simon Fuller.

And according to his Twitter page, it looks like Khanna is still on the music scene as he released a single called Beautiful in June of last year.

Good luck Kush – we’re all rooting for you!
