Man United seeks scout to find footballing talent from the South

The Manchester Evening News reports the Premier League giant is seeking a new regional academy scout, adept at finding talent in London.

Although the role is a casual position, the job advert states the prospective talent spotter will make a ‘valuable contribution’ to the club’s scouting network in identifying ‘potential elite players’.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing good coverage of fixtures within their area on a weekly basis.
  • Developing a detailed understanding of the academy recruitment strategy.
  • Following up on any leads and ensuring all avenues are explored to identify potential elite players.
  • Producing detailed match and player reports.
