Recruiter Harrington Starr scores new signing

Recruiter Harrington Starr has scored a new signing with its latest consultant.

Anthony Cook, who has joined the financial services technology and sales staffing specialist as an infrastructure and support consultant, balances his recruitment career with playing for National League South outfit Dulwich Hamlet Football Club.

Speaking to Recruiter this morning about his new appointment, Cook said: “I’m settling in very well at the beginning stages of my recruitment career. This has been the perfect place for me to start.

“Everyone in the business has been very helpful. It’s a very mature environment… They understand I have come over from a different walk of life and they’ve been very helpful in helping me settle in.”

Cook told Recruiter his new employer has shown understanding towards his need to balance football with his recruitment career, but he also sees similarities between his two careers.

“You have to be 100% organised. You have to put the work in – you get out what you put in. In terms of training, if you prepare yourself, then you’re going to do better.”
