Cat lovers won’t need any purr-suasion applying for this role

Do you love cats and would you be looking to get paid for taking care of them right miaow? Then we have the purrfect job for you.

Birmingham Live reports a job advert for a cat sitter has appeared on careers site Indeed.

The part-time role, posted by self-billed “premier cat sitting service” Kitty Angels, requires a “cat-loving” person to join a team of cat sitters in Walsall.

The ad says: “The visits, which last 20 minutes to half an hour, are carried out at the customer’s home, and include feeding, watering, litter changing, playing with the cats and keeping customers updated. Light household duties are also expected, eg. bringing in post, watering plants, washing up etc.”

You will be expected to be DBS checked, and the ad goes on to say that any “applications lacking a covering note explaining suitability for the role will be rejected”.

It also slips in the seemingly innocuous statement: “Experience with administering medication to cats (tablets and injections) would be an advantage.” As any cat owner would testify, good luck with that one… *tends to bandage on right arm following a routine tablet-giving session to own maleficent moggie*
