Boat jobs created in Hampshire thanks to boost in sales

More than 100 new boatbuilding jobs will be created following a Hampshire firm’s success at recent boat shows.

The Southern Daily Echo reports that Fairline Yachts is recruiting more than 100 boat builders in a range of roles that include carpenters, electrical fitters, engineers, GRP moulders, painters and assemblers at its new manufacturing site in Hythe.

The firm says the recruitment drive follows impressive sales at the recent Cannes and Southampton Boat Shows.
