Ex-offender on Apprentice highlights need to unlock work chances

Recruiters have been urged to give ex-offenders a second chance in the workplace following a past conviction coming to light of one of the contestants on this year’s Apprentice.
The Metro reports Apprentice candidate Daniel Elahi admitted intent to sell cannabis to students after police found a substantial stash of marijuana in his car in 2010. His Bristol crown court trial was told he was spotted using his phone while driving, and subsequently pulled over by police before they discovered around £5k worth of the drug.
