GLAA arrest three suspected of human labour abuses in Derbyshire

The Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) has arrested a man and two women on suspicion of human trafficking offences in Derbyshire.

The suspects, all Romanian nationals, were arrested for alleged offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 by GLAA investigators at a residential address in Shirebrook on Wednesday morning [5 September].

The trio has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries. Four Romanian women were identified as potential victims and have been rescued.
