Pilot wanted for secret Area 51 mission

A US private defence contractor is seeking candidates for a role at Area 51 – a top secret US government site located in the Nevada desert.

The Sun reports private defence contractor AECOM is recruiting for an officer pilot to carry out top-secret flights for the only airline allowed in and out of the rural destination.

According to the job posting, the successful applicant will have security clearance, adhere to the procedures of the federal government, but must also be willing to live in the Las Vegas area, as they’ll be transporting people between Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and the military base.

The new recruit will also be expected to order changes in fuel supply, load and route, and must have a minimum of 3,000 fixed wing flying hours within the past five years.
