Job gag wins funniest joke of the Edinburgh Fringe

Who says working in recruitment isn’t a laugh-a-minute?

As it happens, the funniest joke at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival turns out to be recruitment related.

According to the BBC, the joke voted as TV channel Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe has been won by Liverpool comedian Adam Rowe.

The winning joke from Rowe’s Undeniable show goes as follows: “Working at the Jobcentre has to be a tense job – knowing that if you get fired, you still have to come in the next day.” Boom boom!
