APPOINTMENTS: 13-17 AUGUST 2018

• Executive search practice Eames Partnership has promoted Joel Westley to senior researcher from researcher. Lucy Burke also joins as researcher.

• The GTMC, a professional body for travel management companies, has appointed executive board member Suzanne Horner to lead initiatives on behalf of its People Strategy Group in her new role as chair.

In her role, Horner will lead the way in attracting young talent to a career in corporate travel through the GTMC’s development of apprenticeship and training programmes and continuing to work closely with educational organisations and institutions including universities.

Chris Green joins executive search firm Howgate Sable as associate partner.

Gordon Webb has joined candidate acquisition platform idibu as UK sales manager.

• Global executive search firm Marlin Hawk Group welcomes Philip Young as client partner, financial services. Young will lead on client relationships and assignments across the whole Marlin Hawk portfolio, reporting directly into managing partner and head of international John-Claude Hesketh.

• Specialist fashion and retail recruiter Retail Executives has appointed Darren Topp as chairman. Topp will be responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, growth of the firm’s advisory board and board practice.

He previously held senior roles at Marks & Spencer, before joining BHS and Outfit as chief operating officer, being promoted to CEO in 2015. Most recently he was CEO at L.K.Bennett where he successfully re-structured the business. Linda Bennett bought the company back from Phoenix Equity Partners last year.

Dr Eva Wuellner has joined executive search firm Spengler Fox as regional practice group leader, MEA – family businesses and technology.
