Toys ‘R’ Us on the hunt for chief play officer

Toys ‘R’ Us Canada is on the hunt for someone to play with toys all day.

There is a catch, however, as The Daily Hive reports the toy giant is only seeking applicants between the ages of 10 and 12 years old for its ‘chief play officer’, who will be charged with recommending hot toys and trends.

So unfortunately, if you spend your weekends cataloguing your M.A.S.K. and Thundercats collection from the 1980s, this isn’t a role for you.

Applicants are being asked to upload a video of no more than two minutes demonstrating why they should land the role by talking about the qualities of a particular favourite toy, game or gadget. Submissions will be judged on their originality, creativity and enthusiasm.

The closing date for submitting a video is 21 August 2018.

Up to 10 finalists will then meet the Toys ‘R’ Us team in Toronto before participating in an interview and live audition, with the successful applicant starting their role in January next year.
