Report recommending recruiters to collect age data slammed as impractical

A recommendation from MPs requiring recruitment agencies to collect data on age discrimination has come under fire from employment lawyers, who labelled it impractical and unusual.

The recommendation features in a report, released this morning from the Women and Equalities Committee. The report claims more than a million people aged over 50 who want to work are being ignored because of discrimination, bias and outdated employment practices....
