Javid promises to revisit visa caps for skilled workers

Recruiters have backed a commitment from the home secretary to take a “fresh look” at the cap on the number of skilled workers being given visas.

On the BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show yesterday, new home secretary Sajid Javid was quizzed about the cap on Tier 2 visas. The cap was introduced by then home secretary Theresa May as a way of limiting the number of skilled workers from outside the European Union who had a job offer.
