The type of jobs that attract serial killers

Do you have concerns the candidate you’re interviewing is a would-be Dennis Nilsen, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy or Jack the Ripper?

Well, it turns out there are certain sectors that attract serial killers more than others.

Science news site IFLScience! reports Michael Arntfield in his new book Murder in Plain English has identified 12 job professions that are most likely to attract serial killers.

He divides them into four different categories and the jobs run as follows:

Skilled occupations:
1. Aircraft machinist/assembler
2. Shoemaker/repair person
3. Automobile upholsterer

Semi-skilled occupations:
1. Forestry worker/arborist
2. Truck driver
3. Warehouse manager

Unskilled occupations:
1. General labourer (such as a mover or landscaper)
2. Hotel porter
3. Gas station (garage forecourt) attendant

Professional and government occupations:
1. Police/security official
2. Military personnel
3. Religious official

What can we say if you’re interviewing for any of those posts today… Er, good luck!
