FINANCIALS: Prime People performs in line with expectations
International recruiter Prime People is performing in line with expectations, with group net fee income (NFI) slightly down on 2017.
That’s according to a trading update for the financial year to 31 March 2018, released late yesterday. Group NFI on a like-for-like basis is slightly down compared to the previous year.
While the UK business has performed in line with management’s expectations with annual profitability ahead of the previous year, the group adds its international business has seen lower profitability compared to 2017.
Group operating profit for the year is expected to be around £1.2m after taking account of exceptional acquisition costs of £0.1m relating to the acquisition of the majority interest in Command Recruitment Group, which the group says has extending its reach and capability both in Asia and the Middle East.
The group adds its existing international business is expected to benefit from increased dominance in built environment recruitment in the Asia region, while CMD trading is in line with the board's expectations.
Final results will be released on 22 June 2018.
