Ironic knockout blow for British boxer’s job ad

It turns out boxer Lawrence Okolie is not in need of alternative employment after all.

That’s because Okolie claimed the biggest win of his career with a unanimous points victory over Isaac Chamberlain at London’s O2 Arena this past weekend.

Recruiter readers may remember on Friday we reported how Chamberlain paid for an ad slot in Thursday's Hackney Gazette requesting an alternative job for fellow Londoner Okolie following their grudge fight. In the ad, Chamberlain kindly drew up a CV for Okolie, mocking references to his past employment at a fast-food restaurant and a defeat at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games.

Following Okolie’s victory, ironically maybe it’s Chamberlain who might need help brushing up his own CV.
