Chester Zoo looks for a head giraffe keeper

Do you like giraffes? Of course you do – doesn’t everyone? In which case we have found the perfect job for you.

The Liverpool Echo reports Chester Zoo is after a lead giraffe keeper.

The role commands a salary of just over £23k and involves not only looking after the zoo’s giraffes, but supervising students and volunteers, as well as representing the zoo and the Giraffe team for media interviews, and conferences in the UK and overseas.

You’ll also need a HND or degree level qualification in a zoological-related science, or equivalent experience; extensive knowledge and expertise in animal husbandry and management; and be an enthusiastic and motivated team player.

The closing date for applications is 21 January – good luck. (Insert joke about being good with heights here…)
