East Anglia recruiter launches employee ownership trust

Just Recruitment, based in East Anglia, is to launch a new employee ownership trust with future profits placed into a trust fund for the benefit of employees.

The agency, which has 50 employees across offices in Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, said it is making the move in December to “secure the company’s long-term future and organisational culture”.

Current shareholders will dispose of their shares and all profits from the business will in future be used solely for the benefit of employees, the company said.

Shareholder and company founder Jenny Wrightson said: “Our company has experienced great success over the years due to our employees, and our move to employee ownership shows our gratitude to our employees for their service.

“Selling to another company would have caused us to lose our team ethos. Employee ownership retains and strengthens company culture, and will ensure that Just Recruitment is always part of the local community.”

Employees under the new structure will also benefit from tax-free bonuses.
