Ex-smelting plant redevelopment brings 500 jobs to Northumberland

Northumberland’s job sector is to be boosted to the tune of 500 jobs.

Chronicle Live reports around 500 new jobs are to be created through the redevelopment of a former smelting plant in Lynemouth, Northumberland, after Harworth Estates Investments was given the green light by the local council’s strategic planning committee for a new employment park.

The paper adds, the term ‘employment park’ is being used to cover an array of possible uses on the site, from warehousing and storage to industrial.
