Infosys creates 2,000 jobs in North Carolina

North Carolina’s tech industry in the US stands to benefit to the tune of 2,000 new jobs.

This is due to tech firm Infosys creating the roles at a new hub in Raleigh’s Brier Creek.

The News & Observer reports the new roles include software developers, analysts and digital architects, with these posts commanding an average annual salary of $72k (£53k).

The firm has received a $25m incentive package from the state and another $1m from the City of Raleigh, with 500 people recruited initially. Workers will move into offices now under construction in Brier Creek early next year.
