Spanish CAF creates 300 jobs in Newport

Spanish train manufacturer Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) is to create 300 “highly skilled and well paid” engineering jobs at new production facility in Newport.

The BBC reports CAF expected to open its £30m centre where Llanwern Steelworks once stood in autumn 2018, adding it understands the Welsh government offered a £3m grant to secure the jobs.
