Rajagopalan becomes CEO full time at Heidrick & Struggles

Krishnan Rajagopalan is taking on the role of CEO at global executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles full time, following a stint as acting CEO.
Rajagopalan took on the role of acting CEO following incumbent Tracy Wolstencroft recently taking a medical leave of absence.
In a statement, released yesterday, the group reported that while Wolstencroft had been responding well to the treatment regimen, more time is required for a complete recovery. Given the projected timing of his recovery, the group’s board believes the firm will be best served by Wolstencroft assuming the role of chairman and Rajagopalan succeeding him as president and CEO.
Wolstencroft succeeds Richard Beattie, who will remain on the group’s board as lead independent director.
