• India’s online recruitment marketplace Aasaanjobs has announced the acquisition of Noida-based jobs platform mHire.

Mumbai-based Aasaanjobs said that the purchase of the firm, which has a focus on entry-level jobs, would help strengthen its presence in the North of India.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

City & Guilds Group, a global leader in skills development, has bought civil nuclear skills training provider Gen2 for an undisclosed fee.

The acquired Cumbria-based firm, established in 2000, employs 160 people and has eight training centres, with 1,300 apprentices and 250 higher education students.

City & Guilds CEO Chris Jones said: “Technical skills delivery is a core part of our heritage, and we are excited to expand our offer by bringing Gen2 into the group.”

IBM survey finds UK business leaders expect 25% of workforce need to retrain

An IBM survey has found that a large number of UK respondents expect roughly 25% of the workforce would need retraining as a result of artificial intelligence (AI).
