Candidates, how to rub recruiters up the wrong way

Arrogant or rude candidates need not to apply, if research from CV-Library is anything to go by.

Research of 800 in-house and agency recruiters carried out by the job board, released this morning, found almost three in four recruiters report pet peeves that would put them off hiring a candidate.

The five top gripes include:

  1. Having an arrogant or rude personality (84.9%)
  2. Not preparing efficiently for the interview (73%)
  3. Dressing inappropriately, for example, too casually (52.6%)
  4. Turning up too early or too late (29.6%)
  5. Being excessively shy (13.2%)
