gap Personnel embarks on ‘major’ acquisition drive

UK industrial labour provider gap Personnel Group has hit the acquisition trail in search of staffing companies within the blue collar, industrial and technical sectors.

A spokesperson for the firm told Recruiter gap Personnel is looking at a number of companies at the present time, but is not in a position to disclose any details at this stage.

The group released a statement yesterday in which it revealed it has embarked on a “major” acquisition drive as it targets a £250m turnover by 2022.

The recruiter, which already has 44 locations across the UK, employing more than 260 people, is aiming to build on this through acquisition and by securing additional investment, with the group entering into talks with potential overseas investors to further scale the business in the UK and Europe.

The seven divisions within the group are: gap Training, gap Technical, gap onsite, Driving Force, Kerr Multilingual, gap professional and Catch 22.
