Cobalt Recruitment appoints Wakefield CEO

Cobalt Recruitment has appointed James Wakefield to the newly created role of CEO. Wakefield has been with the international property, financial services and engineering recruiter for 10 years.

He joined from the management team of global recruiter Michael Page’s City division in London. At the start of 2009, Wakefield relocated to the UAE to establish Cobalt’s presence in the region and in 2014 was promoted to international managing director, adding the Asia and New Zealand businesses to his remit.

Cobalt was founded in 2001 by Adam Walker and Timothy Rowe, who are part of the management team.
