FINANCIALS: FDM Group’s revenue jumps 18%

Global IT services and contract staffing provider FDM Group has seen revenue jump 18% year-on-year.
According to results for the year ended 31 December 2016, revenue rose from £160.7m in 2015 to £189.4m in 2016, while ‘mountie’ revenue was up 40% from £119.4m to £160.7m over the same period.
Under FDM’s ‘mountie’ model, graduates are trained for free by FDM in return for at least two years’ full-time service with the firm.
Commenting on the results, FDM CEO Rod Flavell said: "2016 saw the group perform well against a backdrop of political surprises, growing Mountie revenues by 40% on a reported basis and over 34% on a constant currency basis.
“We have made a positive start in 2017 and I believe the group is well placed to continue to deliver operational and financial progress this year and beyond."
• FDM Group is highlighted as an example of a recruitment company achieving a big pay day for its founders, following a management buy-out, in the April issue of Recruiter, out 17 March.
