It was a case of last orders for recruitment’s remaining reality TV talent show competitor as Trishna Thakrar became the latest candidate to pack her bags and depart from the BBC’s The Apprentice.

The remaining candidates were competing for a place in the final five, with Lord Sugar challenging the teams to create a new gin brand.

Thakrar had decided to colour their gin product orange, a decision that put off several retailers and led to drastically fewer orders than the opposing team’s clear offering.

In the end it was Thakrar, who Lord Sugar had accused of “having the hump” during the task, who was left holding her head and wheeling her suitcase to a taxi after she was ultimately blamed for the team’s failure.

In the post-episode analysis she did, however, reveal her business plan is to set up a specialist IT recruitment firm so we’ll probably be hearing more from Thakrar in the near future. We’ll drink to that!
