Self-confessed massive tomboy and IBM recruitment agent Trishna Thakrar survived another round of The Apprentice, despite her team’s woeful showing on the latest episode of the hit BBC reality series.

Team leader Paul Sullivan was shown the exit after getting on the wrong side of Lord Sugar during an emotional showdown, with tearful team-mates Jessica Cunningham and Frances Bishop in the boardroom denouement. His departure wasn’t that much of a surprise after Paul had raised his voice and lost his temper during the task but also during Lord Sugar’s scathing dissection of his team leadership skills.

Trishna and fellow Nebula team member Sofiane, meanwhile, had earlier been sent back to the house to pore over the bones of a disastrous team performance that saw them raise £1,124.64 compared with their opponents’ respectable £2,400.66 in this week’s task to organise a swanky event.
