ManpowerGroup’s Michael Van Handel will retire this February, leaving his role as senior executive vice president after almost three decades at the global recruiter.

In a statement, the group confirmed Van Handel’s retirement is effective from 15 February 2017, which will also see the succession process that that began with the February 2016 appointment of Jack McGinnis as executive vice president and chief financial officer completed.

Van Handel has continued to lead the organisation's investor relations since February. Following his retirement, McGinnis will take on investor relations responsibility, continuing to report to chairman and chief executive Jonas Prising.
