Glasgow-based recruitment consultancy Primestaff has opened an office in Edinburgh, while expansion in Dundee is imminent after identifying opportunities in the Scottish market.

To support its expansion, the company has taken on five new hires.

Technical business manager Derek Thomson will work across Edinburgh and Glasgow after spending more than 15 years at a leading national agency, which recently closed its Glasgow office. His colleague Matthew Bowater, a recruitment consultant, has also been appointed by the firm.

Robert Muir, formerly of Bibby Factors, has taken on the role of group business development director, while recruitment consultants Leigh Carroll and Stephen Johnston have joined from Black & Black Recruitment and Prime Commercial respectively.
